Great food! Would've been a 5 star review, but the service cost them a star. Not terrible, just not great. I'll definitely give them another shot to work out the kinks....and if they don't, I'll take the ok service for delicious German food.
On to the food....we ordered the pretzel, the sausage board, and the cheese board. Way too much for two people, but it was all good. The pretzel with the Brauhaus cheese was delicious. The cheese plate was awesome, but huge! Way too much for two people. They should really offer a half order of the cheese plate. The selection of cheeses was really good. The blue was awesome and so was the bread. We also did the selection of three sausages...they offer three or six. We almost did the six selection plate. Glad we didn't. The three was a very large portion and more than we could eat.
They have an excellent draught beer selection. A lot of good German and German-style beers on tap. It's nice when the issues is choosing between several that sound good instead of trying to find one non-IPA on a beer list. I like IPAs, but sometimes the selection of IPAs in this town is just over the top. This place has a good variety to choose from.
We had actually just got back from a trip to Germany. We laughed at going to a new German restaurant in Reno after being in Germany, but this place did not disappoint. The food is on point. I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu...beer and food. -

This should really be a 3.5 star, but that's not an option yet so...
Finally had a chance to try this little joint in Midtown. The place has a cool, laid-back vibe and a good menu. We decided to get a couple of German beers (a hefe and a marzen) both of which tasted fresh and delicious. Also got the Euro platter, a side of German potato salad, and an order of pork schnitzel. Let me pause here and preface this with the fact that I am a German food snob. I lived there and I like it authentic. That said, here's the breakdown:
Potato salad-delicious, German-style, bacony goodness. Only thing that could make it better would be a touch more vinegar.
Pork schnitzel-not super authentic, but tasty. Good breading that isn't too thick. Peppery-yum. FYI...this is actually a Jaeger-schnitzel...because it has a tasty mushroom gravy. Also it comes with Mac and cheese...weird.
Euro board-lots of variety, tasty pickles, really liked the pickled carrots. But not what I would call a traditional German charcuterie but still tasty and a seriously big portion. Only think it was lacking was some kind of carb (bread, crackers). -

The food was delicious, the beer choices are wonderful! We may have ordered with our hearts instead of our stomachs though. We ordered a sausage board and a pretzel and honestly that may have been enough for us but we also grabbed some entrees that gave us leftovers for the next day.
The location is right there in Midtown by a lot of other good restaurants and bars. The food prices are pretty good and what is generally expected these days but the good sized portions make it pretty solid. I think the boards could be a few dollars less since really if you wanted, you could throw the same things together at home for $5.
The only odd knock is that no one is at the front door to guide people to their seats or even a sign that says to seat yourself. A bunch of people came in and stood there awkwardly until someone came over to help.
All in all though, this place is great. Solid food, good beer and it's something different for the area which is always appreciated. We will be back. -

Came here for a snack. The bartender, Sara was super cool! She recommended some great food! Sara told us about some great local spots to check out, they were all awesome! We ate the Meatballs, which were spic. The gravy was life changing. Had the Italian salad as well which was excellent! I highly recommend this place!!! The staff was so great!!

A great eat in midtown!
Our waitress was new but great nonetheless. We came in on a Monday so it wasn't packed, and our food came out super fast. I had the Brauhaus burger and the cheese was dripping down off of it. Now, I'm a cheese enthusiast, and the cheese sauce was to die for. So many meat cuts on the burger made it very filling, I could only eat half of mine!
There's seating for any person. I'm a booth gal, and they also had bar seating and seats close to the bar. You can see the cook preparing your food and the establishment was very put together.
